Surf Lifesaving News

We have had a fantastic start to the season.  Great to see plenty of beach, good surf conditions, warm weather and plenty of visitors enjoying Sunshine Beach.

Proficiencies have gone rather well, Thank You Glynn and all of you who have turned up and got stuck in.  Already the season has seen some emergencies and our patrols and members respond with professionalism.  It is why training and updates are so important to keep our high standard of rescue techniques where they are.  Congratulations to all involved on a job well done.

A reminder that Patrols must be set up on the beach with flags up, IRB ready and all equipment in place by 7.00am.  This requires members to arrive at 6.30am to begin pre-operational checks and have us on the beach ready to go.  THIS IS A BRANCH AND SLSQ REQUIREMENT FOR ALL CLUBS.

Jetboat 3 will soon be stationed at Noosa and when you see it patrolling our beach look for 10 of our members who have become Jetboat Crew.  Well done guys and girls.

If you are using any club equipment and it is damaged, please write it in the Gear Steward book located on the bench in equipment stroage area.

Squad Subsidies

All patrolling members are elligible for a 30% discount on their squad fee's. Brian Stehr has a list of all active members, so all you need to do is print out on of these form available here and then hand it to Brian when you pay.
