Nipper News - October 2009

Club Sunday Nippers: Started on the 20th of September, 2009 at 7:45am sharp for the morning briefing. On the beach at 8am!!! 

 

U/11-14’s Surf Swim/Board Training: Has started, and is on now on Monday (Noosa), Wednesday (Noosa) and Friday (Sunshine) afternoons with Max. Training starts at 4pm.
 

U/11-14 Board Hire/Subsidies: If you are interested in hiring a board, please see our Treasurer Kirsty Knox to pay your levy, and then take your receipt to our Gear Steward Chris Nolan to have your board allocated to you. No receipt, no board! Also, for those who wish to buy a board, please see Kirsty for a Board Subsidy application form. 

 

U/8-10’s Development/Board Training: Started on the 7th of October at Noosa River with Warick Redwood. Red Boards will be provided for this training which starts at 4pm.  

 

Met.Caloundra Carnival: A last reminder to all U/11-14’s Competitors that this Carnival is on the 21st of November, with nominations closing soon. Please email me or sign on the sheet downstairs if you are going. Last reminder!!! 


Infront Surfcraft joins Team Sunshine

Sunshine Beach Nippers are proud to announce the Gold Sponsorship with Infront Surfcraft for the upcoming 2009/10 Season.

 

Infront has previously provided boards for Sunshine Beach SLSC, but this is the first time where by a Sponsorship arrangement has been met between both parties.

 

Infront’s new owner Martin Lang said that he was very pleased to be a part of this thriving young club and looked forward to a continued partnership for many years to come.

 

As part of the deal, Infront provided the Club with twenty new Nippers Boards, along three Racing Malibu Boards which include the personal sponsorships of competitors Alexandra Nolan, Ashlea DeCent and Mac Kippen. All three travelled to the Gold Coast based company’s warehouse to be personally design their boards, tour the warehouse and meet with Martin.

 

Alex, Ashlea and Mac where selected in this year’s Sunshine Coast’s Inter-Branch Team, and brought home a swag of Branch and State medals over the competition season. These boards are a just reward for efforts and commitment and we look forward to watching these three on their new boards in the new season.
